What we collect

Short list. Nothing on it is required to use the calculator, the explainers, or the guides.

On your device, by default

  • Calculator inputs and results. Income, deductions, and the resulting tax breakdown stay in your browser's memory while you use the calculator. They are never sent to our servers.
  • Filing-guide progress. Which steps of the 6-step filing guide you have opened or marked complete. Stored in your browser's local storage so the page remembers where you stopped. Nowhere else.
  • Small UI preferences. Whether you dismissed the announcement bar at the top of the site. Whether you tapped the “not now” button on the install prompt.

Aggregate, anonymous analytics

We run a privacy-respecting analytics counter so we know which pages are popular and whether the calculator is being used. The counter records page views, the type of device (phone vs desktop), and the country a visit came from. It does not set cross-site cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not collect your IP address.

We use this to answer questions like “is the new freelancer guide being read?” — never to identify you or follow you around the web.

If you email us

If you write to privacy@notaxme.ng, we keep the message until your request is resolved, then delete it. We do not feed your email into a marketing list.

Things we may collect in the future

We will keep you updated with new releases.
